How to get to the Municipality of Amyntaio
Useful travel information for reaching Amyntaio by car, bus or train.
By car
Amyntaio is located in the southern part of the prefecture of Florina, 492 kilometers from Athens and 130 kilometers from Thessaloniki.
You can reach Amyntaio from Thessaloniki either via the scenic route Thessaloniki–Edessa – Arnissa – Agios Panteleimon – Amyntaio, or via the Egnatia Highway, exiting at the Koila Kozani interchange and taking the Ptolemaida–Amyntaio road to reach the area.
From Athens, take the new E65 highway (Lamia–Trikala–Kalambaka–Grevena–Ptolemaida–Amyntaio) or the route that turns toward Elassona from Larissa and heads toward Servia – Kozani – Ptolemaida – Amyntaio.
Starting from Amyntaio, you can easily reach the municipality’s settlements via the local road network.
By bus
Amyntaio is connected by public transportation to Athens, Thessaloniki, Larissa, and Ioannina via daily routes operated by the Florina Intercity Bus Company (KTEL).
