If you wish to enjoy the natural beauty and monuments of the area in all their splendour, you can explore the recommended routes (the Route of Old Times, the Route of Nature, the Route of Land and Labour) on foot.

The total distance from the Hellenistic town of Petres to the shore of Lake Vegoritis at Agios Panteleimon is approximately 11 kilometres. The scenery and sights will more than make up for it; it’s well worth giving the walk a go – depending on your stamina.
