Winter


Enjoy unique snow-covered landscapes and experience the traditional production of tsipouro in the Raki Distilleries (Rakokazana) of Agios Panteleimon. Discover ancient traditions and have fun at Tsiri Varvara – the bonfires lit in every neighbourhood of Amyntaio on the night of 3–4 December – and at the Christmas Bonfires lit in the villages of the region on 23 December.


Spring


Marvel at the natural beauty of the area in all its splendour as you follow the Route of Nature. And amidst unique springtime scenes, visit the region’s monuments and cultural sites, following the Route of Old Times.


Summer


Bring your summer spirit with you and enjoy the rich cultural events in Amyntaia, culminating in the concert in the Hellenistic city of Petres on the August full moon – a truly unique experience. Round off your visit by savouring special culinary delights from the local cuisine at the region’s acclaimed restaurants.


Autumn


There is no better destination for the grape harvest season than the region’s Vineyards and wineries open to visitors, where you can follow the entire wine-making process, from the vine to the barrel and into the bottle. Don’t leave the area without taking a stroll during the first ten days of October at the largest open-air market in Western Macedonia, the Amyntaio Trade Fair, the region’s premier economic event.
